CONDITIONS OF BOOKING: Payment in full is at the time of booking.   Upon payment for participation in Experience India Photography Trip  - 2020 ("Tour") that person registering for Tour ("Tour Participant") has selected below constitutes full agreement with the terms and conditions mentioned below.

 

DISCLAIMER: Wider Angles (a.k.a. Hema Narayanan Photography) and its representatives in India ("the Tour Organisers") are making all arrangements pertaining to this program in India, including round-trip group transfers from your place-of-entry (train station, bus station or airport), all the transportation on the ground in suitable and available mode of conveyance, accommodation as per itinerary in Deluxe or Superior rooms on most tours, meals as per itinerary, including snacks and drinks in the vehicle, all entrance & camera fees at sites, all transport taxes and tolls, all applicable government taxes, all necessary permits, photography workshops, instruction and reviews.  Transportation and Tour operation, subject to the condition that the Tour Organisers will not be held liable to delay, theft, damage, injury, terrorism, death, or irregularities, however caused.  [Applies to Ladakh only]: stay will be in a non a/c Swiss Tent (at Pangong lake) while rest will be in the room. [Applies to Varanasi only]: stay will be in a simple and character accommodation, as the focus is to stay on the Ghats of river Ganga.

 

The Tour Organisers will take no responsibility or liability for:  1. Any changes or delays in air, train or bus schedules, missed airline, train or bus, other carrier connections and other services. 2.  Injury, loss, or damage to persons or property, including luggage. 3. Additional expenses resulting from changes in exchange rates, tariffs, or itinerary. 4. Defect in any vehicle or the act or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the Tour Participants, or in carrying out the arrangements of the Tour, or otherwise. 5. Additional expenses incurred or due to sudden sickness, weather conditions, strikes, war, terrorism, quarantine or other causes or acts of God. 6. Losses due to cancellations. 7. Changes in the tour itinerary. 8. Physical, mental, emotional or injury as the result of participating in the Tour. 9. Disappointment or dissatisfaction about the Tour.

CHANGES IN ITINERARY: Even though changes to the printed itinerary are not anticipated, the Tour Organisers reserve the right to make any changes that may become necessary in the best interest of the operation of the Tour, with or without advance notice.

NO GUARANTEES: There is no guarantee, stated or implied, made by the Tour Organisers, regarding any aspect of the Tour. Complaints about the Tour will not result in any partial or full refund. There is no guarantee, stated or implied, regarding: 1. Age of the tour Participants, 2. The time spent at any given location on the Tour. 3. Any other aspect of the Tour.

RATES: See Rate Schedule below for the rates, including nonrefundable reservation fees, for the respective photography trip

ROOMMATES: If any Tour Participant wants to pay for the Tour at the shared-room price, yet does not have a specific roommate, the Tour Organisers will attempt to match that Tour Participant with a room-mate of the same gender. However, the Tour Organisers cannot guarantee that a roommate will be found. If no roommate is found or the roommate cancels, then, the single rate amount must be paid by the Tour Participant.

PACKAGE FEE INCLUSIONS & EXCLUSIONS: This information on inclusions and exclusions will be provided on the respective webpages of the Photography Tour. ​

​

CANCELLATIONS: All requests for cancellation must be submitted in writing. Those cancelling their booking will be charged a cancellation fee as per the following schedule, no matter what the reason for cancellation. Therefore, Tour Participants are strongly urged to take out travel insurance.

If the Tour is cancelled:

• 1.5 months (6 weeks) before the tour start dates, 25% of the amount will be retained

• 1 month (4 weeks) before the tour start dates, 75% of the amount will be retained

• less than 1 month (30 days), no refund can be provided.

Regarding airline cancellations for airfare from Tour Participant's home: Tour Participants are responsible to get their own refunds on their tickets from the airline carrier from which the ticket is issued. Some airline tickets might have penalties or surcharges for cancellation, or may be completely non-refundable. The Tour Organisers take no responsibility or liability for losses due to cancellations. There will be no refund for any Tour Participant who leaves the Tour prior to its conclusion, for whatever reason.   Wider Angles (Hema Narayanan Photography) reserves the right to cancel the tour due to lack of participation or unforeseen circumstances.  In the event of such a cancellation a 100% refund will be given to all participants.  Wider Angles (Hema Narayanan Photography) will not take responsibility for any third party expenses made by participants such as cancellation fees for accommodations, flights, trains, buses, insurances etc.

RESERVATION RESTRICTIONS: Any prospective Tour Participant with a disability, pre-existing medical condition, or medical history requiring special attention or treatment should advise the Tour Organisers at time of booking the reservation and are advised to consult with a medical specialist prior to reserving space on the Tour. People who are unable to travel alone or who would require special assistance or handling, have to be accompanied by a companion who will provide the required assistance. The Tour Organisers assume no responsibility for any such cases.

INSURANCE: All Tour Participants in the Tour are strongly advised to get travel, medical, accident, cancellation, and baggage insurance independently. The Tour Organisers carry no insurance whatsoever for the Tour Participants. Tour Participants are strongly advised to carefully study the cancellation policy above and to obtain insurance.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND VISAS: All Tour Participants are required to have a valid passport with a valid Indian visa (if non-Indian). For Indian participants, any Government recognised ID cards (license, Aadhar card) are essential.

​

WHAT TO BRING: Special packing list (Photography & Travel) will be provided at a later time.

​

PHOTOGRAPHY/ VIDEO RECORDING:  The representatives from the Tour Agency could/maybe photographing or videotaping this tour for their use.  The Tour Organisers reserve the right to publish any such photographs and videotapes without obtaining further consent from any Tour Participant. Each Tour Participant releases The Tour Organisers and its representatives from any liability in connection with any such use of such photographs and video recordings.

WAIVER: The Tour Participant shall indemnify and hold Tour Organisers free and harmless from any and all claims, losses, damages, injuries, and liabilities arising from or on account of the Tour Organisers' activities or omissions in connection with this Agreement, as well as the costs, including attorneys' fees, of defending against them. By signing this Tour Participant Agreement, the Tour Participant releases the Tour Organisers and its representatives from all responsibility and liability.

AGREEMENT: This Agreement may be modified only by the written consent of both parties hereto. This Agreement represents the entire Agreement between the Tour Participant and the Tour Organisers with respect to the subject matter hereof. There is no other contract or agreement between the Tour Participant and the Tour Organisers, stated or implied. There shall be no waiver of the rights of the Tour Organisers by the failure to enforce that or any other right hereunder. If any part of this Agreement is held to be illegal, void, or unenforceable for any reason, such holding shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of the Agreement.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY:

By signing this agreement form, the Tour Participant agrees as follows:

"I am entirely responsible for my own personal safety, health, and mental, physical, emotional, and general well-being during and after the Tour. I release the Tour Organisers and their representatives, and any of their employees, assistants, and affiliates, of any liability for any injuries or damages mentally or physically that I, or any of my family members, might incur during or after the Tour. I understand that the Tour is in no way psychotherapeutic or medical in nature. The Tour is not involved with the treatment of disease of any kind and does in no way substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Tour leaders, spiritual teachers, spiritual leaders, sadhus, swamis, astrologers, readers, and healers do not treat, prescribe, or diagnose any illness, disease, or any other physical or mental disorder. Any personal advice, readings, or answers to my questions that are given to me on this Tour are for entertainment purposes only. I release Tour Organizers and their representatives and any of their employees, assistants, and affiliates from any injuries or damages mentally or physically that I or any of my family members might incur during or after this Tour as a result of following any advice given to me on this Tour. I release Tour Organizers and their employees, assistants, and affiliates from any obligation to fulfill any claims about this Tour that have been printed or spoken in any tapes, lecture, letters, literature, the Internet, websites, or the news media. I am entirely responsible for my personal safety, health, and well being during the Tour. I hold the Tour Organizers harmless for anything that might happen to me or to my possessions on this Tour. I understand that the Tour organizers provide no health insurance or travel insurance, and, if I wish to be insured, I must do this myself. I have read and understand the foregoing Tour Participant Agreement."

By signing this Tour Participant Agreement, the Tour Participant releases the Tour Organizers and its representatives from all responsibility and liability.
