Pushkar Fair is probably one of the world's biggest livestock trading and buying fairs, an annual Mela or festival of Rajasthan.
Come walk with us to witness this spectacle on an epic scale, amidst thousands of camels and horses.
Being in the desert state of Rajasthan, most of the animals being bought and sold are camels. It’s an event on an massive scale with camels, nomads, herders, traders, farmers, villagers, horses and cattle, arriving into Pushkar. The gathering rapidly grows to immense proportions before the trading. The aura of this festivity is enhanced by the dunes of the Thar desert. Apart from buying and selling of livestock, it has become a tourist and photographer’s attraction.
You maybe confronted by these tall animals with such little notice, a truly surreal and unforgettable experience.
